Every line of every receipt
Each line as printed on the paper, with its category.
Photograph a paper receipt. GroceryX reads it line by line and keeps every product and its price — not the category your bank thinks it belongs to.
Take a photo of the receipt. A long one can go in several photos.
The receipt checks itself: the lines must add up to the printed total. You compare them with the paper and fix anything that’s off.
The receipt is saved as an itemised record: every line with its product, price and category.

By store, by category, the items you buy most and the priciest lines.
The discounts on your receipts, added up by chain.
Discounts printed on other shoppers’ receipts in stores near you.
Every payment you make with Apple Pay is added to GroceryX automatically, with no photo needed.
How the price of a product changes from one receipt to the next. We’re working on it; it isn’t in the app yet.
“No receipt, name or time is ever shared.”
Deals near you are built from prices on shoppers’ receipts. A price is shared anonymously, separated from the receipt it came from.
Price sharing can be switched off in Settings.
